Política de Divulgação e Internacionalização da Língua Portuguesa: o caso de Moçambique Policy for dissemination and internationalization of the Portuguese language: Case of Mozambique

Abstract

Brasil tornou-se uma grande referência mundial entre os países falantes da língua portuguesa no concernente à atração da língua pelas diversas nações, graças a demonstração do seu poderio económico nos últimos anos. Neste âmbito, vários são os esforços implementados para a promoção da língua através da criação de políticas adequadas para a elevação da língua portuguesa no seio das organizações internacionais, o que constituiu o foco para a produção deste artigo, colocando maior enfoque em políticas moçambicanas. A pesquisa é meramente bibliográfica, baseada na interpretação de informações publicadas em forma de livros, revistas, textos legais, publicações avulsas, imprensa escrita e televisiva, e, eletronicamente, disponibilizada na Internet, palestras de académicos, entre outras. À luz das investigações feitas, ficou claro que Moçambique, apesar de ser uma Nação multilinguística tem na língua portuguesa o elo nacional dos moçambicanos, através do ensino, com a abertura de centros de língua portuguesa do Camões, Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua (CLP/Camões IP), instalados na Universidade Pedagógica, que procuram apoiar o crescente interesse pelo estudo da Língua Portuguesa em Moçambique e a procura de instrumentos para o seu ensino e aprendizagem, com o objectivo de promover e divulgar a língua portuguesa e as culturas lusófonas.

English Abstract: Brazil has become a major world reference among Portuguese-speaking countries in terms of the attraction of the language to different nations, thanks to the demonstration of its economic power in recent years. In this context, there are several efforts implemented to promote the language through the creation of adequate policies for the elevation of the Portuguese language within international organizations, which constituted the focus for the production of this article, placing greater focus on Mozambican policies. The research is purely bibliographical, based on the interpretation of information published in the form of books, magazines, legal texts, separate publications, written press and television, and electronically available on the Internet, lectures by academics, among others. In the light of the investigations carried out, it became clear that Mozambique, despite being a multilingual nation, has in the Portuguese language the national link of Mozambicans, through teaching, with the opening of Portuguese language centers in Camões, Instituto da Cooperacao e da Língua (CLP /Camões IP), installed at the Pedagogical University, which seek to support the growing interest in the study of the Portuguese language in Mozambique and the search for instruments for its teaching and learning, with the aim of promoting and disseminating the Portuguese language and Lusophone cultures.
