Abstract
It should be at the core of the interest of any university to know and ensure quality in the teaching and assessment of its students. Low quality assurance mechanisms lead to deteriorating of standards of university education and also production of weak graduates without the necessary skills to compete in the job market. The review of the existing documents has shown that there is still laxity to some extent in quality assurance and therefore awake up call for the quality of Makerere University is needed. Students’ complaints are still many which would be minimized with interventions of Quality Assurance.
