Students’ enrolment trend in the School of Education, College of Education, University of Rwanda
Abstract
This study was designed to determine students’ enrolment trends in School of Education, College of Education University of Rwanda. Four research questions were raised in the study. Studied population were students’ enrolled into School of Education. Sample consisted of matriculated students in the school. Data were analyzed using frequency count and simple percentage. Analysed data showed, students’ enrolment trend increasing over the years. A wide gap was noted in enrolment trend based on gender across departments. Rise in students’ enrolment trend across departments particularly in mathematics and science education is a good development, for nations that craves for growth must prioritize education of its teaching force. Based on these findings, recommendations were made to aid policy makers’ decision making process.
