Abstract

Since the publication of the South African Hypertension Guidelines in
2006 several landmark clinical trials have been published or presented that have far-reaching implications for the way we treat patients with hypertension. In addition, the review of a recent study that had major impact on nephrological practice has been seriously questioned.
