Chemical Safety in Laboratories of African Universities

Abstract

Universities in Africa are in need of chemical safety and security facilities, professionals and resource materials. It seems that the more the universities engage themselves with advanced chemistry research, the more they need the safety and security facilities and skills. This survey study explores the situation in a number of African universities. It gives highlights of the practices in selected universities but it is by no means exhaustive.
