The South African Journal of Botany, the official journal of the South African Association of Botanists publishes papers which make an original contribution to any field of Botany. Papers are accepted on the understanding that their contents have not been published, or submitted for publication, elsewhere. All submitted papers are refereed by at least two highly qualified referees and by an Editor from the Editorial Review Board. Editorial policy is flexible as to the nature of the papers considered for publication. The journal publishes mini reviews, full papers, short communications and book reviews.
