Author Guidelines
The Zimbabwe Journal of Science and Technology (ZJST), is an official international journal that publishes original, peer-reviewed articles from all disciplines. The manuscripts must be a result of empirical research and should not have been published elsewhere.
Format for Paper Submissions
The ZJST publishes full-length articles which should not exceed 20 pages. To maintain the uniformity in the production of the Journal, authors are requested to follow the standard recommended format given below:
Font: Use Microsoft Word, Arial font 11,
Margins: All margins should be 2.5 cm (top and bottom; left and right)
Title of Paper: [14 pt Bold face, Arial, Centre, UPPER CASE]. The title should be informative and concise. The title should be followed by the names of authors [12 pt Bold face Arial, Centre],and their affiliation and email address of the corresponding author.
Abstract: [8 pt, Arial, single spacing and justified] A satisfactory abstract not more than 300 words should be included. It should address the problem, the author’s unique approach, solution and highlights of results.
Key Words: [11 pt, Arial] 5-8 key words should be included for indexing purposes.
Body of the Paper: [11 pt, Arial, single spacing and justified] It should contain: Introduction, Theoretical Framework (if any), Materials and Methods, Results, Discussions, Conclusions, Acknowledgements and References.
Headings: Bold Capital, numerical sectioning. Sub Headings: Numerical Bullets, bold face, first letter capital case.
Equations: Equations should be centred, numbered continuously in square brackets. Use Equation Editor which can be found in MS word,
Tables and Illustrations
Tables: Titles of the tables should be bold faced 11 pt, bold face and centred and appear at the top.
Figures: Titles of figures should be bold faced left justified and should appear at the bottom of the figure
References
Citation and referencing style should be based on the Harvard citation and referencing style customised for the ZJST
