Peer Review
The type of peer-review: Double-blind review done completely online. At least one round of review by at least two reviewers is done. Sometimes, reviews may extend to two or three rounds when reviewers recommend ‘resubmission for review’
The roles and responsibilities for the implementation of peer-review: peer reviewers recommend actions to be taken on each manuscript (following review) to the editors. These actions include, acceptance, request for revision, resubmission for review and rejection
How reviewers are selected: Reviewers are selected from renowned local and international academics suggested by members of the editorial boards or from journal site users registered as reviewers
Steps of the peer-review procedure:
i. the blinded manuscript for review is uploaded to the review platform by editor
ii. at least two reviewers are selected/registered and review request emails sent to them using the OJS platform
iii. Reviewers are requested to accept the request within 1 week and upload their reviews within 2 weeks
iv. Reviewers accept to review using the reviewer platform
v. Reviewer complete review and upload their comments and the reviewed/annotated files
vi. Editor reads the completed review and confirm it on the online editorial portal
vii. Thank you emails sent to reviewers
viii. Editorial actions taken on the manuscript based on the recommendation of the reviewers and emails sent to authors communicating editorial decision.
Publication Scheduling
This journal publishes one volume of two issues each year.
