An Assessment Of The Effectiveness Of Collaborative Cost Reduction Model As A Control Approach To Sluggish Migration From IPV4 To IPV6 In Nigeria

Abstract

This paper presents the effects of Collaborative Cost Reduction Model (CCRM) as a control Approach to reduce the high cost implication that causes the slow pace of migration process from IPV4 to IPV6 in Nigeria. This study reveals that CCRM can be applied to achieve Cost Reduction in collocation efforts in communication industries and this can reduce the cost for installation of infrastructure through sharing to avoid clustering the streets with masts. It provides an innovative transition approach that should catalyze migration process from IPV4 to IPV6 in Nigeria.
