Hydatidiform mole in Aliero, Nigeria
Abstract
Background: Hydatidiform mole is a common complication of gestation.
Method: A prospective study of Hydatidiform Mole from October 2005 to November 2006. Clinical case notes of patients were retrieved from the records department and analyzed.
Result: During the study period, 12 patients were managed for hydatiform mole. Two of the patients received blood transfusion of one unit each during the course of management.
Conclusion: Public enlightenment campaign is necessary for women with signs suggestive of the disease to present in hospital for assessment.
