Advanced abdominal pregnancy retained for 15 months and misdiagnosed before laparotomy: A case report

Abstract

Abdominal pregnancy is a rare and complex clinical condition whose management can be quite challenging. We present the case of a 26 year old
primipara who presented with an undiagnosed abdominal pregnancy at 58 weeks gestation. This case reports aims to remind practising clinicians
about this unusual presentation of abdominal pregnancy which proceeded post term.
