Peer Review
Prior to sending submitted papers for evaluation, the manuscripts are technically checked for the following points:
- The manuscripts must fall within the scope of the journal
- The manuscripts are scanned through an anti-plagiarism software
- The instructions to authors must be respected
Once the submitted manuscript has met these requirements, it is assigned to a member of the editorial board to conduct the double-blind peer-reviewing process. The anonymous submitted manuscript is send to at least two reviewers who must not be members of the academic staff of the institution from which the submitted manuscript originates. The referees are asked to complete their reports within four weeks. The manuscript is accepted for publication after revision of two positives reviews. In the case of divergent reviews or a conflict between authors and reviewers, a third reviewer is appointed and whose decision is final. The final decision can be ‘accepted with minor corrections’; accepted with major revisions’; ‘rejected under the present form’; ‘rejected for substance reasons’.
