These guidelines outline the manuscript preparation and submission process for publication in SSMJ.

SSMJ is committed to open access publishing. All published articles are freely available online for immediate and permanent access, download, copy, and distribution. Authors retain copyright to their work, granting Lilico Engineering Services exclusive or non-exclusive rights for publication and distribution. Specific reuse rights are determined by the author's chosen user license.

Manuscript Language:
Manuscripts must be submitted in clear and concise English. American or British usage is acceptable, but consistency is required.

Submission Process:
All submissions must be made electronically through our user-friendly online submission system. The system will guide you through the upload process and convert your files to a single PDF format for publication. Editable files (e.g., Word, LaTeX) are required for peer review process.

SSMJ publishes original research papers and articles related to the following topics:

(5) Environmental Impact Assessment and Mitigation in Extractive Industries
(6) Economics of the Extractive Industries and their Relationship to the Environment

Manuscript Formatting Requirements:

Structure: Manuscripts should be well-organized with clearly defined sections. Essential elements include: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, and References.

Supplementary Materials: Authors are encouraged to submit supplementary materials (videos, data sets, additional figures) that enhance their research findings.

Artwork and Tables: Figures and tables must be professionally prepared with clear and concise captions that allow for independent understanding from the main text. Tables should be submitted as editable text, not images.

Mathematical Formulae: Math equations should be provided in editable text or as high-quality images.

References: A consistent referencing style is required, including author names, titles, publication dates, and volume/page numbers.

Images: All images should be in JPG format and not exceed 150 KB.

Peer Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous single-blind peer review process. The Editor-in-Chief assesses suitability for publication, and anonymous reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the research. The Editor-in-Chief's decision on acceptance or rejection is final.

Article Structure:

Introduction: Clearly state the research objectives and provide adequate background information to situate your work within the existing literature.

Methods: Describe the research methodology in sufficient detail to allow for independent replication of your findings.

Results: Present your findings clearly and concisely using appropriate tables, figures, and graphs.

Discussion: Explore the significance of your results, their implications for the field, and any limitations of the study.

Conclusions: Summarize the main conclusions of your research and highlight their importance.

Abstract: Provide a concise and informative abstract that clearly describes the purpose, methods, main findings, and conclusions of your research.

Keywords: Include a maximum of six keywords relevant to your research area.

Acknowledgements: Acknowledge any individuals who provided assistance with the research.

Funding Sources: List all sources of funding for the research in the specified format.

Supplementary Material: Include any additional supporting files with clear and concise captions.

Proofreading:
Authors are solely responsible for proofreading their manuscripts carefully and meticulously checking the typesetting, editing, completeness, and accuracy of all content.
