Religion and social problems
Abstract
Man is a social animal and lives in communities, in close association with others. Such communities are not devoid of problems which affect the individuals and the communities as a whole. Such problems are termed “social problems”. Man is also a religious being in so far as he recognises the supreme being, worships and reverence such, or any deity for that matter. It is a fact that there is a link between religion and social problems as both issues deeply affect man and the society. This paper attempts to outline some social problems and to explore, and analyse the link between religion and social problems. Suggestions are also given on how religion can ameliorate these social problems.
