SOPHIA, AN AFRICA JOURNAL OF PHILOSOPHY is not geared towards promoting the ideas of any philosophical school. It aims at publishing scholarly articles in any branch of philosophy and related disciplines. It shows a special interest in articles, which encourage philosophizing within the context of Africa. Nevertheless, it opens its door to articles of philosophical interest in any branch and tradition of philosophy.
ARTICLES intended for publication in the Journal should be between 10 and 15 pages (quarto size) long, type double-spaced and should be sent in duplicate to: The Editor (Attn: Dr. A. F. Uduigwomen),

FOOTNOTES, References, or works cited should be used sparingly and typed serially in double space on a separate sheet at the end of the article.
CONTRIBUTORS, who may wish to have their manuscripts returned should enclose an envelope with stamps, or international return coupons of the equivalent value.Generally, Editors should be able to reach a decision about the publication within six months, which is communicated to the author subsequently. Authors are advised to avoid needless correspondences.
