Frontonasal Dysplasia with Lipoma of the Corpus Callosum in a 6-year-old Girl
Abstract
Lipoma of the corpus callosum is a rare slow growing benign lesion that rarely gives any symptoms, Hence, the diagnosis is most often incidental during radiological work up on imaging modalities such as. computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It hardly requires surgery. However rarely symptomatic lipoma of the corpus callosum do presents with symptoms thus the need for establishment of diagnosis.
A 6-year-old girl with frontonasal dysplasia who presented with recurrent non-febrile seizure and headache and whose CT scan shows a rare lipoma of the corpus callosum is hereby presented and the relevant literatures are discussed in order to encourage radiologist for high index of suspicion.
