Vinculación interdependiente entre identidad personal y creación artística

Abstract

Identity is constructed in relation to multiple internal and external factors, one of them being the arts. It is proposed to reflect on the  identity of the artist fm his construction of the self for the development of his artistic work, seeking from this process of creation, the  exercise of his existence and self-recognition in his product. This article being in an exploratory phase of the research, a qualitative  approach was used for the understanding of the phenomenon from psychology, an interview script was designed and applied to 7 artists  from the following fields: poetic/literary, musical and plastic arts. Categories were outlined relating aspects of identity with art and its  creation, highlighting the purpose of artistic creation and its function in the expression of the self, self-discovery, and re-construction of  the creator.
