Alum an Efficient Catalyst for Erlenmeyer Synthesis
Abstract
Anew and efficient method to synthesize azlactone derivatives using alum as catalyst was performedin the absence of additional solvent. This method is environmentally friendly and affords the product azlactones in high yields after simple workup.
