State of the application of knowledge management in university libraries: A real need or anticipate events?

Abstract

In the past, the researcher had difficulties in accessing information and the only way was libraries and encyclopedias. Currently, the researcher is using the internet and several new expressions have emerged, such as knowledge management, which is considered one of modern management techniques and the newest concept in management science. Algeria is one of the countries that is making progress in many areas and especially in information technology. The university libraries also looking for adopting new management systems, however, their application to Algerian university libraries raise many issues.
