Abstract

Librarians are confronted to the absence of authority fies which help them to assume some technical functions.

The Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST) is working in this field, in order to build the Algerian Scientific and Technical Information Network.

Among the means ofachieveinent ofthis network: the création ofa guidlinefor the constitution of national authority files for authors, corporate naines and régions naines ; following international standardisation and working in a bilingual area.
