The national data bases become today an important médium in ail information system because of their géographie cover, and princapally their sovereignty char acier.

This article attempts to présent the différents national data bases, their states, their objectives, their products...and their rôle in tbe access to specialised and stratégie information wilh stress on those which are sheltered by the Algerian Scientific and Technical Information Research Centre.
