La maladie d’osgood Schlatter :À propos d’un cas à libreville

Abstract

La maladie d’Osgood -Schlatter est une ostéochondrose de la tubérosité tibiale antérieure rencontrée le plus souvent chez les garçons sportifs entre 10 et 15 ans. Elle est la conséquence d’une souffrance de l’insertion basse du tendon rotulien par hypersollicitation. Le diagnostic fut avant tout clinique, marqué par une douleur mécanique de la tubérosité tibiale  antérieure et l’examen montra une déformation du genou. Cependant,
la radiographie peut être contributive en objectivant des lésions pouvant être classées en 5 grades allant de l’oedème du tendon rotulien à l’avulsion de la tubérosité tibiale antérieure. Nous rapportons un cas de Maladie d’Osgood Schlatter chez un enfant de 11 ans sportif de haut niveau. Le but de notre travail est d’attirer l’attention des praticiens sur cette pathologie et d’en préciser les éléments cliniques, radiologiques et thérapeutiques.

The Osgood-Schlatter’s disease is an osteochondrosis of anterior tibial tuberosity mostly encontered in boys between 10 and 15 years who do a lot of sports. It is the consequence of a painful highly-stressed patellar  tendon’s lower insertion. First and foremost, the diagnosis was clinically made,characterized by a physical pain of the anterior tibial tuberosity and the examination showed a knee deformation. However, radiography may be contributory by helping to objectivize lesions which could therefore be classified into 5 grades ranging from the patellar’s tendon oedema to the
anterior tibial tuberosity avulsion. We report a case of Osgood-Schlatter’s disease in an eleven years old boy practising sports at a high level. The goal of our work is to attract practician’s attention over that pathology and to precise its clinical, radiological and therapeutical elements.
