Peer Review
When the work is accepted in the preliminary evaluation, it immediately goes through a double blind peer review process , that is, the editorial committee selects two members of the specialty to evaluate the work. This evaluation process is carried out by specialists in the field, who may be Angolans or foreigners with recognition and prestige in the area in which they work professionally. If one of the referees evaluates positively and another negatively, a third party is consulted who will give the final ruling.
The criteria established for the evaluation of the works are the following:
- Approved;
- Approved with modifications;
- Correct and resubmit for review;
- Not approved.
Once this arbitration process is completed, the work is forwarded to the correction team for a final evaluation (if necessary). Then, it goes to the executive and/or section editor, who is responsible for editing and preparing all the works for publication.
