On two topologies associated with a topology

Abstract

With every topology T on a set X, two finer topologies on X have been introduced in the past, viz., the so-called front topology and the indiscrete generated refinement of T. It is shown here that these are nicely inter-related and their being equal characterizes the T_D–0  property.
