On the group of self-homotopy equivalences of an almost formal space
Abstract
A simply connected CW-complex X of finite type is called almost formal if Hodd (X;Q) = 0 and if the rational Hurewicz homomorphism h2n is injective for every n ≥ 1. In this paper, we show that the group of self-homotopy equivalences of an almost formal space inducing the identity on the homology is finite.
