Polynomially Riesz elements
Abstract
A Banach algebra element ɑ ∈ A is said to be "polynomially Riesz", relative to the homomorphism T : A → B, if there exists a nonzero complex polynomial p(z) such that the image Tp(ɑ) ∈ B is quasinilpotent.
