Abstracting and indexing services

We work with our authors to make help their work as easy to discover as possible. Physics Access is currently included in the following abstracting and discovery services:

Archiving Policy

Physics Access is committed to the long-term preservation of its contents. All articles published in Physics Access are archived through the use of the facilities available. Physics Access have been using the services of Internet Archive.

Physics Access allow archiving and storing of published papers by individuals, organizations, institutions and others. Anyone is free to store and archive the published papers for use, but such uses must be in accordance with the terms and conditions of use i.e with due reference to the published papers in the journal and due credit to the authors.

Data Repository

Repositories are platforms for depositing and sharing data, and thereby obviously also a source to find data for potential re-use.

Ideally, authors should deposit their data in a repository before submitting their work for publication. This allows authors to provide a persistent identifier and an accurate data availability statement when submitting their work. The authors are to deposit the underlying data to a recognised disciplinary public repository for public release scheduled no later than the publication date of the article.

Physics Access do not host data. Instead, we require authors to submit datasets to an appropriate public data repository. Data should be submitted to discipline-specific, community-recognized repositories where possible. Where a suitable discipline-specific resource does not exist, data should be submitted to a generalist repository. The repositories need to meet our requirements for anonymous peer-review, data access, preservation, resource stability, licences and suitability for use by all researchers with the appropriate types of data.

All data need to be available for peer review. Where logins or other barriers are required or temporarily applied, routes for confidential peer review of submitted datasets need to be provided that do not reveal the identity of the reviewer to the data owner/author of the associated article.

Data may also be deposited to these resources temporarily, if the main host repository does not support confidential peer review.

If data have not been deposited to a repository prior to manuscript submission we require that the data be submitted alongside the manuscript or sent as an addon to the editor-in-chief@physicsaccess.com with reference to the submitted manuscript.
