Fluctuation saisonnière des oiseaux de la décharge publique de la ville de Béjaia (Algérie), cas particulier du goéland leucophée (Larus michahellis)
Abstract
A survey of the birds of the refuse dump of the town of Béjaia recorded 37 species. They are divided into two categories, birds of the centre of the dump and birds of the periphery; the latter are subdivided into two groups, terrestrial species and aerial species. The omnivorous species like the Yellow–legged Gull (Larus michahellis) and the Common Raven (Corvus corax) are most abundant. The dump of Béjaia seems to be responsible for a local population increase of Yellow–legged Gulls.
