Aneurysms of the sinus of Valsalva are a rare entity and may be asymptomatic but mostly manifest as a complication of rupture such as angina, varying degrees of exertional dyspnea ,acute heart failure, cardiogenic shock and sudden cardiac death. We present the case of a 34 year old health worker who had an uneventful pregnancy and vaginal delivery of a live baby however she started to develop features of heart failure shortly after delivery from ruptured aneurysm of sinus of Valsalva. She presented at our facility after three weeks by which time she succumbed to haemodynamic instability before surgery could be performed.
