Co-infection of a mosquito borne arbovirus and parasite in dogs in Kaduna and Zaria metropolis, Kaduna state, Nigeria: A Case Report

Abstract

During a survey in Kaduna and Zaria metropolis for West Nile virus and Dirofilaria in dogs, a single case of co-infection of the two organisms was observed in a dog. These organisms are both mosquito borne and are of great zoonotic importance.
