Genetic algorithm-based precision tuning of digital P-I-D controller for second-order systems
Abstract
Tuning of the PID controller is often done by trial and error which is tedious, · time consuming and relatively inefficient. A more reliable and etricient approach of tuning the PID controller using genetic algorithm is presented. The scope of this work is limited to obtaining control parameters of a digital PID controller for a second-order system, given the desired time-response parameters. .
