About the Journal
Peer Review
On submission of a scientific manuscript, the Editor in chief or Assistant Editor screens the manuscript to assess conformity with journal guidelines. The article is then sent to a minimum of 2 External reviewers for review. On return of the manuscript the author is communicated with regards to acceptability, revision, rejection or otherwise. Corrections if any are then submitted for processing and publication. Articles for publication must be in the Surgical sciences.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
General
Members of the Nigerian Surgical Research Society and Association of Surgeons of Nigeria receive the NJS as part of their membership subscription.
Non-Member Subscription
The annual subscription rate in Nigeria is N1,000.00 (post free). The annual subscription rate for the rest of the world is $100 (post free). Cheques should be made payable to the Nigerian Journal of Surgery and addressed to the Editor - in - Chief.
