Abstract
An investigation of the confined transmission resonances in multiple quantum wells has been carried out using modified envelope function approximation including the /6, /7, and /8 host bands. The theoretical results are compared with the results of experimental excitation spectroscopy. Both symmetric and anti-symmetric confined levels have been observed. While the first symmetric confined level exists for all values of the well-width, all others disappear for well-width less than 5.0nm.
