Each group was taught correct method for lifting a low lying object by lecture demonstration, guided discovery, or lecture demonstration with guided discovery teaching formats. The children\'s knowledge of correct lifting techniques was assessed immediately after teaching, and six weeks after teaching with practical and written tests.
Result: The analysis of the result showed no significant difference at P<0.05 for written test but significant difference for practical test between guided discovery and lecture demonstration with guided discovery method only.
Conclusion: It was concluded that lecture demonstration with guided discovery and lecture demonstration methods were more effective in teaching children proper lifting techniques than guided discovery method.
