Abstract

 O presente trabalho intitulado “Folia de São Sebastião em território quilombola: Territorialidade, identidade e crenças”, tem como objetivo geral descrever e compreender a folia de São Sebastião como instrumento de fortalecimento e manutenção da cultura quilombola. Os seus objetivos específicos são: 1) Descrever a folia como uma das práticas socioculturais presentes na comunidade; 2) Compreender o conceito de quilombo e suas limitações crenças e valores; 3) Analisar os aspectos simbólicos da folia de São Sebastião. A pesquisa está centralizada na comunidade Ema em Teresina de Goiás. As comunidades quilombolas podem ser compreendidas como grupos socioculturais étnicos cujos modos de vida as distinguem dos modelos de sociedade dito “padrão”, que tem nos países da Europa ocidental. O recurso metodológico utilizado pautou-se na pesquisa bibliográfica na qual visitamos dissertações, sites, monografias e artigos a respeito da temática cuja foi dividida em três etapas: 1) Busca por textos relevantes no Google Acadêmico, Scielo e Portal Capes; 2) Adequação ao tema de pesquisa; 3) Analise e estudo detalhado do material pesquisado. O resultado encontrado, foi que há uma falta enorme de literaturas que desvelem essa prática sociocultural quilombola. Vale destacar que a folia representa uma ação teleológica para com as comunidades pois estabelece uma relação de crenças, ligação com a terra, valores e respeito nas sociedades que as praticam. Neste sentido, a investigação nos permite refletir e analisar a relação entre a folia, cultura, identidade, subjetividade e intersubjetividade onde o sujeito ao se constituir sujeito da ação, inclui o próximo, e com isso, transforma a si, a natureza e a comunidade.

English Abstract: The present work entitled “Folia de São Sebastião in quilombola territory: Territoriality, identity and beliefs”, has the general objective of describing and understanding the folia de são Sebastião as an instrument for strengthening and maintaining quilombola culture. Its specific objectives are: 1) To describe the revelry as one of the sociocultural practices present in the community; 2) Understand the concept of quilombo and its limitations, beliefs and values; 3) Analyze the symbolic aspects of the São Sebastião revelry. The research is centered on the Ema community in Teresina de Goiás. Quilombola communities can be understood as ethnic socio-cultural groups whose ways of life distinguish them from the so-called “standard” society models that they have in western European countries. The methodological resource used was based on bibliographic research in which we visited dissertations, websites, monographs and articles about the theme, which was divided into three stages: 1) Search for relevant texts on Google Scholar, Scielo and Portal Capes; 2) Adequacy to the research theme; 3) Analysis and detailed study of the researched material. The result found was that there is a huge lack of literature that reveals this quilombola socio-cultural practice. It is worth mentioning that the revelry represents a teleological action towards the communities because it establishes a relationship of beliefs, connection with the land, values and respect in the societies that practice them. In this sense, the investigation allows us to reflect and analyze the relationship between revelry, culture, identity, subjectivity and intersubjectivity where the subject constitutes the subject of the action, includes the neighbor, and with that, transforms himself, nature and the community .
