Abstract

O objectivo deste artigo é compreender quais são os factores que influenciam a ocorrência de união prematuros no Posto Administrativo de Mussa. Para obtenção dos dados, realizou-se consulta documental, bibliográfica, observação participante e entrevista. Com uma amostra de 80 mulheres de várias as idades residentes em três bairros do Posto Administrativo, como: Bala, Ntembo e Magiga, seleccionados aleatoriamente. Os resultados demonstram que os factores mais predominantes para ocorrência da união prematura recaem sobre os factores económicos (75%) e (25%) socioculturais. Concluímos que a união prematura tem tido um impacto devastador na saúde, educação, mortalidade materna e infantil, segurança e demais direitos de milhares de crianças moçambicanas, em particular raparigas.

English Abstract

The purpose of this article is to understand what are the factors that influence the occurrence of premature unions in the Administrative Post of Mussa. To obtain the data, documental and bibliographical consultations, participant observation and interviews were carried out. With a sample of 80 women of various ages residing in three districts of the Administrative Post, such as: Bala, Ntembo and Magiga, selected at random. The results demonstrate that the most predominant factors for the occurrence of premature marriage fall on economic (75%) and sociocultural (25%) factors. We conclude that early marriage has had a devastating impact on the health, education, maternal and child mortality, safety and other rights of thousands of Mozambican children, particularly girls.
