Abstract

 O artigo aborda a extensão universitária, cujo foco é a Universidade Lueji A´Nkonde (Angola). A ULAN desde a sua criação tem a componente de extensão universitária como veículo para a divulgação dos seus serviços e aproximação à comunidade. É com base nas actividades de extensão, que para nós é a face social de uma universidade, que a Universidade Lueji A´Nkonde intervém de modo sustentável na comunidade, com as suas contribuições, tomando os desafios e os problemas da comunidade, onde está inserida como seus, transformando-os em solução, com vista ao bem estar social. Através da extensão as instituições de ensino superior (IES) socializam o conhecimento que produzem, estreitam a relação com a comunidade. Por um lado, está a universidade com saber estruturado, e por outro, está a comunidade com um saber por estruturar, mas que vale apena ser apropriado pela universidade, neste caso, a relação que se estabelece entre a universidade e a comunidade é bilateral. Assim, a extensão universitária tem um papel de promotor da interacção entre a comunidade e a universidade ou as (IES), se tivermos em consideração que a extensão além de ser vista como um meio ou um instrumento através do qual se transmite ou se faz a transferência de técnicas e conhecimentos, deve ser vista, acima de tudo, como uma peça-chave entre os três pilares que constituem a universidade na transformação social ou da comunidade.

English Abstract

The article addresses the university extension, whose focus is the Lueji A´Nkonde University (Angola). ULAN since its creation has the university extension component as a vehicle for the dissemination of its services and approach to the community. It is based on extension activities, which for us is the social face of a university, which Lueji A'Nkonde University intervenes in a sustainable way in the community, with its contributions, taking the challenges and problems of the community, where it is inserted as its own, transforming them into a solution, with a view to social well-being. Through the extension, higher education institutions (HEIs) socialize the knowledge they produce, strengthen the relationship with the community. On the one hand, the university is structured knowledge, and on the other, is the community with an unstructured knowledge, but it is worth being appropriated by the university, in this case, the relationship that is established between the university and the community is bilateral. Thus, the university extension has a role of promoting the interaction between the community and the university or the (HEIs), if we take into account that the extension besides being seen as a means or an instrument through which the transfer of techniques and knowledge is transmitted or made, it must be seen, above all, as a key piece between the three pillars that constitute the university in social or community transformation.
