An Examination of the Literary Stylistic Effectiveness of Barrack Obama’s Dreams from my Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance
Abstract
This paper focuses on the literary features of style that Barrack Obama has employed in his autobiography, Dreams from my Father, and how they effectively help shape his search for his identity and develop other concerns in the text. The literary features in this autobiography include dialogue, suspense, narration, symbolism, flashback, and language variation, use of songs, description, the dream and journey motifs, irony among others.
