Early childhood caries and the role of parents in its primary prevention: A report of three cases in Nigerian children

Abstract

Background: Early childhood caries is a form of rampant caries with distinctive feature of rapidity in progression and the involvement of many teeth at the same time. It is one of the leading causes of early loss of teeth in children and this is associated with functional, aesthetic and negative psychological consequences.

Objective: This report highlights the management of early childhood caries in 3 Nigerian children
