Raynaud\'s Phenomenon in a Black African Woman
Abstract
Scleroderma is the commonest autoimmune disease associated with Raynaud's phenomenon. The presence of Raynaud's is synonymous with tissue ischaemia. It is a multi-systemic disorder and the clinical manifestations are as a result of excessive proliferation and accumulation of collagen. Definitive management of scleroderma is at present not possible. Symptomatic management is the present option of therapy.
