Syntheses and some Properties of Bis(furoylacetonato) Metal (11) and their ɣ -Picoline Adducts
Abstract
The hydrated anhydrous complexes alongside the ɣ -picoline adducts of bis (furoylacetonato ) metal( II I of the form M(fbc1)2.nH20 and M(fbd)2 ( e -picin, where n = 0,1 or 2, M = Mn ( I I ), Co( I I I , Ni( II ) Cu( II) and Zn( II ):Hfbd = furoylace-tone, have been prepared and charac-terised using microanalytical data, mag-netic moment, infrared and reflectance electronic spectra. All of the complexes have octahedral geometry with the exception of Zn (fbc1) . H2O and Cu (fbd12 ( ɣ -pic) which are square pyramidal. The anhydrous Cu (fbd) is square planar.
