La production et la commercialisation des fruits en pays Akposso au Sud-Ouest du Togo

Abstract

Production and commercialization of fruits in akposso region south-west of Togo. Having physical conditions relatively favourable for arboriculture, Akposso region, south-west of Togo produces fruits grown together with cocoa and coffee since their introduction into the region in the early 20th century. Fruit growing, lately meant for family foodstuff mainly is today a speculative activity supplying a dynamic commercial sector that supplies the towns of Togo, including those of South and North. However the sector is confronted with many problems, some natural, others technical or structural which limit development possibilities.
