Abstract

In the tropical region people are confronted to a serious problem of heat transfer in the habitat. To solve that problem we embark on the research of the thermophysical properties of the materials that can be produced locally and be utilised in the construction of buildings. That will enable us to use materials that are very poor conductors of heat, and maintain a certain thermal comfort in the rooms. Apart from that we wish to write a programme that can be used to calculate the variation of the room temperatures throughout the day and for the different seasons. That software will help us to optimize the room temperatures before constructing a building.

Dans la région tropicale les personnes sont confrontées à un sérieux problème de transfert thermique dans l'habitat. Pour apporter des éléments de solution à ce problème nous avons initié des travaux de recherche sur les propriétés thermophysiques des matériaux qui peuvent être produits localement et utilisés dans la construction des bâtiments. Ceci devra permettre d'utiliser les matériaux mauvais conducteurs de chaleur, et de maintenir ainsi un certain confort thermique dans les locaux à usage d'habitation. D’autre part, un programme informatique a été élaboré et peut être utilisé pour calculer les variations de la température intérieure des bâtiments tout au long de la journée et pour les différentes saisons. Ce programme pourra aider les concepteurs à optimiser les températures intérieures avant la construction d’un bâtiment à usage d'habitation.
