Unusual bronchial foreign body in a child
Abstract
Bronchial foreign bodies are a frequent vital emergency in children. The nature of these bodies is often influenced by the socio-cultural and educational habits of the populations studied. We report the case of a 12-year-old adolescent who inhaled a compass arm and presented a vague foreign body aspiration. Pulmonary x-ray localized the body in the right main bronchus. The rigid bronchoscopy under general anesthesia allowed the extraction of this foreign body.
