Enjeux et perspectives du reseau geodesique beninois avec la mise en place des stations permanentes

Abstract

Après une étude pour une bonne couverture du territoire national, il a été retenu d’installer sept (7) stations permanentes GPS/GNSS sur le territoire de la République du Bénin. De nos jours, de nombreux Etats développent des réseaux de stations permanentes qui devront à terme remplacer les réseaux géodésiques actuels. Les sept stations permanentes installées sur le territoire du Bénin ont chacune un rayon de couverture de 100 km. Il se peut que certaines de leurs installations soient détruites dans des conditions peu souhaitables : période d’affrontements, guerre, … De même, les stations permanentes peuvent cesser de fonctionner pour plusieurs raisons : coupure d’électricité, déconnexion du réseau téléphonique ou du réseau internet. Aussi le coût de la réalisation et de l’entretien des stations permanentes revient-il cher aux contribuables béninois. Dans ces conditions et à voir les inconvénients du système GPS, nous ne pouvons pas négliger l’utilisation des réseaux conventionnels.

English Abstract

After a study for a good cover of the own territory, it was retained to install seven (7) permanent stations GPS/GNSS on the territory of the Republic of Benin. Nowadays, of many States networks of permanent stations develop which will have in the long term to replace the current geodetic networks. The seven permanent stations installed on the territory of Benin have each one a ray of cover of 100 km. It may be that some their installations are destroyed under not very desirable conditions: period of confrontations, war… In the same way, the permanent stations can cease functioning for several reasons: cut of electricity, disconnection of the telephone network or Internet network. Also, the cost of the realization and the maintenance of the permanent stations cost it much the taxpayer’s Benin’s pupil. Under these conditions and to see the disadvantages of system GPS, we cannot neglect the use of the conventional networks.
