Environnement et ambiances bioclimatiques dans le Sud-Est du Littorial du Benin (Afrique de l’Ouest)

Abstract

Cette étude porte sur les ambiances bioclimatiques dans le sud-est du littoral béninois au cours de la période de 1975 à 2004. La démarche méthodologique a consisté en la collecte des données climatologique obtenues à la Direction Nationale de la Météorologie Nationale sur la période 1975-2004. Pour le traitement de ces données climatologiques,, il a été question de calculer les moyennes mensuelles des indices bioclimatiques sur la normale considérée. Des enquêtes ont été effectuées pour collecter les informations en rapport avec la problématique des ambiances bioclimatiques dans le sud-est du Bénin. L’appréciation des interrelations climat-santé humaine a été faite en utilisant les indices bioclimatiques largement utilisés par les chercheurs en bioclimatologie humaine. Les résultats montrent que les principaux indices à savoir : l’indice thermohygrométrique (THI), le pouvoir réfrigérant (K) et la tension de vapeur (tvap) connaissent des variations et déterminent les sensations organiques et corporelles des populations. Le THI suit exactement l’allure de la température et de l’humidité relative, le K suit une évolution logique durant toute l’année avec une pointe dans les mois frais de l’année, la tension de vapeur indique quant à elle que les habitants vivent en permanence dans un environnement débilitant et déprimant.

ABSTRACT

This research concerns the bioclimatic ambiences in the southeast of the coastal region of the Benin over period 1975-2004. Methodological approach consisted of the collection of the climatic data acquired in the National Direction of the Weather forecast of ASECNA over normal period going from 1975 till 2004. In the treatment of these climatic data, it was a matter to calculate the monthly averages of bioclimatic indications on the normal of the 30 years. Then, direct data of fields are principally constituted of results of inquiries. And finally the evaluation of various influence of climate on human health allowed the elaboration of a certain number of expressions known under the name of indications (thermal indications, water indications). Results show that the main indications which are thermo-hygrometric indication THI, refrigerating power K and tension of steam tvap, allowed for determining their frequencies of the annual variations and the organic and bodily feelings which follow from it. It proves to be that THI, follows exactly the paces of the temperature and relating humidity, K follow a logical evolution during all year with a top in the cool months of the year, the tension of steam points out as for her that the inhabitants live permanently in a debilitating environment, and discouraging.
