Publication Scheduling
The journal will be published three times in a year – January, May and September.
General
Peer-review explanation: The peer-review follows a double-blind process; authors are not identified to reviewers and vice versa. When a manuscript is sent to reviewers, author information is removed. Similarly when review reports are shared with authors, reviewer information is removed. The journal editors select three reviewers for each manuscript; having due consideration for the research area covered in the manuscript and the field of expertise of the reviewer. If a reviewer accepts to review a manuscript, he/she is expected to turn in the report within two weeks. A manuscript is considered publishable if at least two reviewers give a positive review indicating that the paper is worth publishing. However the journal editors could still decide to not publish a manuscript if the deficiencies are considered to be too much.
Reviewer guidelines: The reviewer is given a copy of ‘Instruction to authors’ to serve as a guide. The reviewer is of course expected to give his/her opinion, as an expert in the research area. A reviewer is expected to give a concise report on every section of the manuscript (Abstract, Introduction, Experimental Methods, Results, Discussion, References) as well as give an overall assessment stating whether or not the manuscript is publishable. The review report must be sent by email to the Editor only; the same way the review request was received.
Payment procedure: If an article is considered suitable for publication, author(s) would be expected to pay the open access publication charge of USD 100.00 for submissions from outside Nigeria while NGN 36,000.00 is the fee for submissions made from Nigeria. Payment should be made to the following bank accounts depending on the currency;
