Relationship Between Teachers\' Qualification And Students\' Performance In Technical Subjects In Selected Schools In Northern Nigeria

Abstract



It has been observed that students\' performance in technical subjects is very poor. Coupled with this problem is that of lack of qualified technical teachers. This study determines the relationship between teachers\' qualification and students\' performance in technical subjects in selected schools in northern Nigeria. The instrument used in the collection of data was questionnaire and records of school documents about students\' performance. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. From the result of the analysis it was concluded that teachers\' qualification affect students\' performance in WASC/GCE examination (technical).
