The study examined the effect of different levels of sweet potato meal (SPM) on the feed conversion efficiency of broilers. Six rations were tested, A, B, C, D, E and F with 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50% SPM levels respectively. Broilers fed treatment F (50%SPM) required more feed to make a gram of grain in weight (3.02gm), while those fed treatment A (with no SPM) were the most efficient feed users (2.37gm). The differences among the different treatment rations were highly significant (P<0.05) and on subjection of the different treatment means to Duncan' s multiple range tests, the feed conversion efficiency of treatment rations A, B, C, D and E were not significantly different (P>0.05) from each other but significantly differed from F (P<0.05).
