Glucose level in the body of a fasting non-diabetic person
Abstract
This study shows that the source of glucose to the cells of a fasting individual
is not exclusively from the stored glucose in the Liver as this is shown to be exhausted within a very short period of time. For fasting to last for a relatively long time, it is shown that the rate of release of stored glucose in the Liver as well as the production of glucose by the Kidney and other parts of the body, must vary over the period of time in question.
